Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: March 31, 2026
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy governs the use of Verify9Mail email verification infrastructure. Our servers perform SMTP-level email address validation — no actual emails are sent to verified addresses.
2. Permitted Uses
- Verifying email addresses for list hygiene and data quality
- Pre-send validation to reduce bounce rates
- Registration form validation to prevent fake signups
- CRM data cleaning and maintenance
- Compliance verification for marketing campaigns
3. Prohibited Uses
- No spam: Our infrastructure must not be used to facilitate unsolicited email sending
- No harvesting: Verification data must not be used to build contact lists for unauthorized outreach
- No abuse: Deliberately overwhelming or attacking third-party mail servers is prohibited
- No illegal activity: Any use violating applicable laws (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CCPA) is prohibited
- No impersonation: Misrepresenting identity or purpose when connecting to mail servers is prohibited
4. Infrastructure Responsibilities
Verify9Mail maintains responsible SMTP practices:
- Proper PTR/reverse DNS records on all verification servers
- Valid HELO/EHLO identification
- Rate limiting to avoid overwhelming recipient servers
- Immediate compliance with any server-level rejection or block
- No actual email delivery — verification uses SMTP handshake only
5. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in immediate service suspension. We cooperate with abuse reports and take prompt action to address any issues.
6. Reporting Abuse
To report abuse originating from our infrastructure, contact abuse@genie9.com. We respond to all abuse reports within 24 hours.
